21 Sept 2011
Jerry and I spent yesterday clearing out and hauling off the
debris from the kitchen demolition.
After that little job was complete Jerry continued hauling off the
sulfer/potassium bags in the garage.
There were about 20-25 bags left and there were several large plastic
bedons full of chemicals. Once again he
filled the Haz mat bin. The aggregate bin
was pretty full as well!
I continued on with the boring wallpaper removal. If we ever do this again, I refuse to be in
charge of wall paper removal!
I finally abandoned the wallpaper for the garage and filled
a few trash bags with icky trash. I
swear, the folks who owned this house and the vineyard operation never
threw away anything! Hundreds of empty
chemical bags, bedons, oil cans and jugs, tools (broken and in good shape), you
name it I bet we have found it. I found another "treasure"! It is a chocolate box. I don't know if the chocolate was the "sweetheart" kind or the "cooking" kind. I also found a pretty kitchen tin. Everyday something new turns up!
We called it a day about 3 since it was our anniversary and
we were going to Pizza night with friends.
Jerry had to meet with a contractor and his English translator at 5:00
so he could get information on the job and present us a devis. He is the last one we are waiting for. Decisions will be coming soon!
