Jerry and I were the only gremlins at the Ruin most of the day.  Jerry figured out how to get the library started and I helped him glue stone blocks together…l get all the exciting jobs!  We also figured out the new bathroom isn’t as big as we thought it would be.  After the wall was up, the room got really small…..well, small by US standards but it is still a good size bathroom by European standards.  So a bathtub will be going in there along with a small vanity.  The large, Italian style shower will go in the existing bathroom.  Can’t wait to get started on it!  We have finally decided on wall tiles and I am still looking for shower tiles.  We found the floor tiles last week (I think it was last week).

After Jerry got started on the library, I started sanding the walls in the blue chamber.  I am planning on painting on the sous couche tomorrow.  For some reason my wallpaper removal, sanding and sous couche is always being put on hold until one day in the future….I feel like Scarlett O’Hara somedays…”I’ll think  about that tomorrow”.    Someday soon I will have to get Jerry twisted around to my color of paint…that little job always takes longer than it should!

Debis in Kitchen
David, our cheerful contractor
Workers arrived about 14:30.  They were scooping up the debris in the salle a manger.  Have to get all that out before more can be stripped off the walls.   David, our contractor, says they will be finished with the first part of the work by Friday!   Hummmm…..wait till you look at the photos and then tell me the odds!
